A few days ago, we asked for your help and prayers so that our fellow Streeper, Nikki Dasal, and her family would be found safe after the deadly typhoon Haiyan hit her home city of Tacloban in the Philippines.
And now, a few days later, we received information that Nikki and her family are going to Manila to seek refuge from the destroyed city. We, Streepers Philippines, are very relieved to hear the very good news and we would like to thank every Streeper who Tweeted and shared this note so that our calls would be made known to first responders, rescuers and to their community.
Again, on behalf of the Dasal family and Streepers Philippines, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
A few days ago, one of the strongest typhoons ever recorded, Haiyan (local name: Yolanda) hit the central part of the Philippines, particularly the city of Tacloban, in the province of Leyte. And it is in this city where one of our proud Filipino Streepers, Nikki Dasal, lives.
For the past few days, all forms of communication has been cut from the city and we Streepers Philippines cannot reach her as to confirm her current status. One of our members filed a missing person report on Google Person Finder and as of posting date, Nikki remains to be "unspecified". She has not posted in her Facebook page since November 6, Philippine time.
But the most important thing that Nikki needs right now is prayer. She needs it more than ever.
Please reblog and spread the word on Tumblr and Twitter. We needs everybody’s efforts to make sure Nikki and her family are safe and well.

Parody of all Best Actress Oscar winners
Attention: Meryl Streep, Robert de Niro and Al Pacino—someone wants to work with you.
“I’d like to work with Al Pacino and Robert De Niro,” Steven Spielberg replied during our recent conversation when asked which actors he’d love to direct. “I’ve also always wanted to direct Meryl Streep.” It’s remarkable that a top director like Steven has indeed not directed three of cinema’s finest actors.
Steven clarified: “I directed Meryl for about 45 minutes in ‘A.I. Artificial Intelligence’—she was the voice of the Blue Fairy. She came over to my house. I put the tape recorder down and turned it on. She did the 35 lines and went home. I don’t call that ‘directing’ Meryl Streep. I’d like to make a movie with her. She is arguably the greatest actress this country has seen in 40 years.”
